The New Website Promotes Hope for Henry’s Efforts to Provide Comfort, Care and Recovery for Children with Serious Illnesses.
Washington, D.C., (November, 2011) - Childhood wellness non-profit, the Hope for Henry Foundation, recently launched a new website, http://www.hopeforhenry.org/. The goal of the website redesign was to help Hope for Henry better achieve its mission to improve the lives of children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Built in the award-winning Drupal content management system and crafted by DC-area web design firm, Blue Water Media, the website’s engaging design, strong call-to-actions and intuitive navigation work together to promote the Hope for Henry message in the digital space.
Colorful images of smiling children and cartoon superhero figures are scattered throughout the site, setting a warm, playful and inviting tone. Inspiring quotes from Hope for Henry beneficiaries such as, “This was the best thing that has happened to me since my Leukemia was diagnosed”, further enforce the site’s positive and hopeful message. Prominent call-to-actions like, “Donate”, “Newsletter Sign Up”, “Meet The Kids” “Learn More” and links to social media profiles encourage site visitors to actively engage with the site and the organization. A streamlined interface and clean layout further improve user experience, helping visitors find the information they are looking for easily and efficiently.
Blue Water Media’s implementation of the Drupal content management system enables the Hope for Henry staff to update the site independently of Blue Water Media. This makes it easy for them to continue to add new content and features easily, ensuring the site remains an up-to-date and comprehensive resource for the children being served, their families, donors and volunteers. Further helping keep everyone in the know is the centrally located calendar feed, which highlights the organization’s upcoming events and happenings.
