Blue Water, a top digital agency with offices in Washington D.C., New York, and San Francisco, was recently recognized by the Interactive Media Awards with 6 awards including 4 Best in Class and 2 Outstanding Achievement Awards. These awards were presented for multiple projects including the U.S. Currency Education Program, Austal, DCTV, American Lung Association, and Better Markets.
In the Education category, the U.S. Currency Education Program won the IMA Best in Class Award. The U.S. Department of the Treasury selected Blue Water to create a destination “to educate the world about all circulating designs and denominations of U.S. currency.” The result was a stunning design, user-friendly layout, and use of 3D technology making the website a fun and educational tool for the global public.
The Austal website won 2 awards, both IMA Best in Class, in the Transportation category and the B2B category. Austal came to Blue Water for help with a website redesign and a modern, secure content management system, to help manage their growing business globally and engage regional audiences. The result was a breathtaking website that allowed users to find the information they need quickly and easily.
The 4th Best in Class was awarded to DCTV in the Television category. Blue Water was asked to help DCTV with a new brand identity and website as the first step toward evolving their positioning into their digital presence. The target audience expected a seamless user experience across multiple platforms, live-streaming video, bold graphics, and social media. The new website and branding delivered all of those things and more.
Outstanding Achievement Awards in the Medical and Financial Information categories were awarded to the American Lung Association for the ‘Are Clinical Trials Right For You?’ campaign and the Better Markets website respectively.
