Blue Water, a top digital agency with offices in Washington D.C., New York, and San Francisco, was recently recognized by the Interactive Media Awards with 2 Best in Class awards in the Association category to make it a total of 8 IMA Awards this year. These awards were presented for our work with the Committee for Responsible Federal Budget and the Google Transparency Project.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget won the IMA Best in Class Award. CRFB selected Blue Water to perform an extensive redesign and site architecture restructure to highlight the thousands of pages of blog posts, analyses, papers, and projects. The striking new website effectively communicates the brand and message of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

The second Best in Class Award was presented to the Google Transparency Project. This project uses a large amount of data to expose how decisions made by corporations and government offices can impact American lives. Blue Water designed and developed a series of interactive data visualizations in order to effectively communicate its message to users. The success of the project has resulted in it being extended to include other countries.
