To help realize the potential of this forward-looking idea, Nom Nom selected “experience” agency Blue Water to conduct a naming exercise, logo and website design, headline conceptualization, and the development of a robust but easy to use e-commerce platform.
One taste of a deliciously-prepared Nom Nom meal by the branding and creative staff at Blue Water, and the task of creating a new name for the company became quite easy. Nom Nom is a fun expression used to ‘express the pleasure at eating’ which makes perfect sense. An important component of any naming/branding process is finding the right domain name. Working collaboratively with Blue Water, Nom Nom secured the URL Nom-Nom.me. The domain name communicates brand, action, and fun. It’s also very easy to remember.
The logo was designed to be light-hearted, bright and reminiscent of childlike handwriting. “We wanted it to be something both adults and kids could relate to,” said Creative Director, Jen Koscielniak. In addition, the creative team at Blue Water mixed a blend of imagery, bright colors and clean lines as the basis for the brand, choosing the aptly-named typeface, Lunch Box.
The name, logo, and headlines all come to life on the website www.nom-nom.me. As a company that serves lunch via home delivery, direct-to-businesses and hot lunches to kids in schools, the challenge for the website was how to communicate meaningful messaging about relevant Nom Nom products and services while at the same time providing seamless ordering for each of these customer segments. To accomplish this, Blue Water implemented audience segmentation and personalization technology that recognizes user preferences over time and then tailors content and overall site-experiences in a way that creates exceptional online experiences. This approach increases engagement, repeat visitors and conversion rates.
Since launching the site, Nom Nom has increased home delivery orders by over 250% and school deliveries have doubled. Site analytics clearly convey visitor click path and the underlying site technology proactively identifies opportunities to suggestively sell based on user-preference and profile attributes.
