Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Launches New Website Designed By Blue Water Media
Blending Cutting Edge Functionality and Design, The Website for the Advance Family Planning Initiative Provides Easy Access to Family Planning Advocacy Information and Connects Advocates Across the Globe.
Washington, DC (January, 2013) –The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health just launched a re-vamped website for their Advance Family Planning initiative, designed by DC area web design firm, Blue Water Media. Built in the Drupal content management system, http://www.advancefamilyplanning.org, promotes the Advance Family Planning mission to increase budgets and improve policies for family planning (FP) through targeted advocacy in developing countries, the sub-Saharan region, and globally.
The aesthetically appealing homepage features a dynamic slideshow with high quality and relevant imagery. Clear navigation, strong call-to-actions to read case studies and briefs and view family planning resources, and extensive search functionality make it easy for users to find desired information. A robust family planning advocacy resource database and country-specific landing pages for focus countries provides users with training materials, policy briefs, evidence, and best practices in family planning. Additionally, users have the ability to rate documents to ensure all content is held to the highest standards.
Blue Water Media’s implementation and customization of the Drupal content management system will allow Advance Family Planning to easily update the site on an ongoing basis. This will ensure it remains a comprehensive and reliable information resource for its target audience of civil society partners, policymakers, and donors championing family planning around the world.
About Advance Family Planning
