The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization committed to educating the public on issues with significant fiscal policy impact. The site required an extensive redesign and site architecture restructure to highlight thousands of pages of content including blog posts, analyses, papers, and projects.
After a comprehensive audience analysis, surveying current users, and developing a new content strategy approach, Blue Water proposed a streamlined site architecture that organizes their content into 7 key issue areas. Issue-specific trending, featured content and search filters allow CRFB’s audience to quickly and easily find and peruse content that interests them. The site supports sharing across all their major social platforms and prominently displays their @Budgethawks live Twitter feed. Blue Water also developed a new brand positioning that more powerfully describes their purpose: Objective. Nonpartisan. Committed to Fiscal Responsibility. The site was developed in Drupal 7 to allow CRFB to easily update the site with new content.
Launched on June 7th, the new user-friendly site will go a long way towards educating the public on issues that may result in a significant fiscal policy impact. Of the new site, Barbara Ann Clay, Director of Communications at CRFB, said “We’re thrilled. It looks superb and modern and professional.”
