The FWS Migratory Bird program is the lead federal agency for the conservation of migratory birds. Connecting its diverse audience of bird-enthusiasts, hunters and artists to a wide range of services and products is its main challenge. FWS required a website that could do just that. But they also wanted the ability to build the site out themselves with a content management system. FWS turned to Blue Water.
Blue Water solved the problem by providing a user experience design (UX), creative, coded templates, and then training FWS staff who were able to build out the site according to Blue Water specifications. The partnership resulted in a responsive, user-friendly and visually appealing website, offering personalized navigation options for the many and varying audiences. In addition, the website followed all federal government protocols.
America’s large and varying bird enthusiast community now have a comprehensive, yet simple ‘go-to’ resource for all things bird related, including the highly popular Duck Stamp program. In addition, the new design and site’s functionality continues to resonate with audiences. ‘We have had many positive reviews about the new look’, echoed a spokesperson for FWS.
